Iris Dijkstra heeft zich, na haar opleiding Industrieel Ontwerpen in Delft ( specialisatie ‘Design for Sustainability’) gespecialiseerd op het vakgebied van licht. In 2004 heeft ze ‘Atelier Licht -Energie-Kleur (LEK)' opgericht: een lichtontwerpbureau dat onafhankelijk van de markt focust op de kwaliteit van de lichtbeleving in de openbare ruimte, voor het exterieur en voor het interieur van gebouwen.

Iris' haar kracht is de analyse van complexe opgaven en deze te vertalen naar heldere en éénvoudige lichtconcepten. Haar ambitie is om deze concepten ook duurzaam en van hoge kwaliteit te realiseren.  Haar betrokkenheid en commitment is door vele opdrachtgevers gewaardeerd en geprezen; een project is pas gereed wanneer het laatste armatuur en detail bij oplevering klopt.

Iris Dijkstra finished her Masters degree in Industrial Design Engineering at the Technical University of Delft,  (“Design for Sustainability”) and since has specialized in lighting design.

In 2004 she founded Atelier LEK (Light-Energy-Color) a widely-oriented, independent design company that focusses on the quality of spacial (night) experiences: in public spaces, exterior and interior of buildings.

Iris is a generalist with a broad interest in technical, architectural and (social) sustainability subjects. Her analitical and strategic level of (design)thinking make her feel at home in projects such as masterplanning and multi disciplinary design processes.

In Lighting design her passion is to create ingenious, clear concepts where the positive experience of the user is the focus. Many clients have praised her for her committed attitude to deliver the quality of lighting until the last luminaire and detail is in place.

Jesper behaalde zijn Master Industrieel Ontwerpen (Integrated Product Design) aan de Technische Universiteit in Eindhoven in 2025.

Tijdens zijn studie heeft hij zich op verschillende manieren verdiept in het onderwerp licht: middels keuzevakken bouwtechniek, waaronder het behalen van het ELE certificaat (European Lighting Expert), en een stage bij een Onafhankelijk lichtontwerpbureau.

Maar zijn oorspronkelijke interesse voor licht komt voort uit zijn passie voor het theater; het werken met scenografisch licht, en hoe je in het theater een wereld tot leven doet komen met accenten, contrasten en kleur. 

Met deze gedegen basis voor een toekomst als lichtontwerper is hij een getalenteerde toevoeging aan ons team!

Jesper obtained his Master's degree in Industrial Design (Integrated Product Design) at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2025.

During his studies, he immersed himself in the subject of light in various ways: through elective courses in construction technology which incorporatied the ELE certificate (European Lighting Expert), and an internship at an independent lighting design agency. But his original interest in light stems from his passion for the theater; working with scenographic light, and how you bring a world to life in the theater with accents, contrasts and color.

With this solid foundation for a future as a lighting designer, he is a talented addition to our team!

Sinds 2015 is Gerrit Jan gegrepen door licht; na een avondopleiding lichtontwerpen heeft hij zijn carrière gericht op lichtadvies en ontwerp voor uiteenlopende projecten in woningbouw, utiliteit, retail en horeca. Gerrit Jan is gespecialiseerd in lichtkennis op het gebied van interieurverlichting en heeft een brede kennis van fabrikaten van hoge segment. In 2023 heeft hij bij de NSVV zijn certificaat als ‘European Lighting Expert’ gehaald.

Gerrit Jan is analytisch en denkt in oplossingen. Zijn brede kennis over licht, techniek en aansturing maakt hem inzetbaar op veel verschillende vraagstukken over licht.

Since 2015, Gerrit Jan has been captivated by lighting. After completing an evening course in lighting design, he shifted his career towards lighting consultancy and design for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality. Gerrit Jan specializes in interior lighting and possesses extensive knowledge of high-end lighting brands. In 2023, he earned his certification as a ‘European Lighting Expert’ from the NSVV.

Gerrit Jan is analytical and solution-oriented. His broad expertise in lighting, technology, and control systems makes him highly versatile and capable of addressing a wide variety of lighting challenges.
