The municipality of Schiedam has renovated the city centre in the last few years. In addition to the refurbishment plan, Atelier LEK has been asked to make a lighting masterplan. One of the main targets is an innovative approach in material usage and highlighting the unique qualities of the historical city of Schiedam.
Thanks to the devoted leadership of Jan Hendrik Bouman and the commitment of the different departments of the municipality the lighting plan is embedded in all the development plans. The first visible results are the Harbourmuseum and the monumental lock.
